A new perspective

As I sit here early this morning. 2:30 a.m. to be exact, I find myself exhausted and ready for a long nap. I spent the last week toiling away getting this website ready to launch. Like most artists nothing was good enough, will people like my creations, am I charging to little? to much? I have decided there is a very good reason my hair seems to be greying at an alarming rate! Then this happened. As is our usual, my daughter and I began to talk about our various projects and bouncing ideas off of each other. I mentioned during our conversation that I had ordered a wax stamp for sealing envelopes. I believe people like the personal touch, a hand written thank you card to go along with the usual business card and care instructions packet. It was at this point of the discussion my daughter who is visually impaired, brought up the idea of including the care instructions on the website within the product descriptions. A lot of people like myself would have thought the personal touch envelopes were enough, well they aren't. You see for people who deal with visual impairment or blindness a written note is kind of useless, BUT by including them on the product description page my customers who rely on audio translations of webpages will now be able to receive all the same product information as my non visually impaired customers. A casual conversation between a mother and a daughter and I learned something very important today. Never take for granted you've covered all your bases, there is always room to grow and learn sometimes you just have to look at things from another perspective.
